Hypoid Gear Mesh and Dynamic Simulation Program (HGSim)
HGSim is an engineering software package for performing design, analysis and trouble-shooting of hypoid and spiral bevel geared rotor systems commonly used in the automotive, off-highway equipment and aerospace industries. The program does so by processing hypoid and bevel gear tooth contact analysis for the purpose of generating gear mesh and dynamics models. The program can be applied to study quasi-static tooth contact analysis, gear meshing time-varying properties, and linear and nonlinear gear pair dynamics that include the effects of shaft, bearing and housing dynamic stiffnesses. HGSim also possesses a user-friendly GUI-based software environment that eases the application of various mesh and dynamic modeling options. It is also capable of importing and exporting results from other related tooth contact analysis and finite element programs.
